Burning Bush Moments

God Still Uses Burning Bushes

God is still calling. He is still placing moments in our lives that catch fire without burning up. Just like Moses, we each face moments that are meant to get our attention. It might not be a literal bush, but it could be a hardship, a breakthrough, or a quiet stirring in your spirit. The question is, will we turn aside and listen?

In this gathering, brothers shared testimonies of peace in busy seasons, answered prayers in times of need, and a strong sense that God is trying to speak through everyday events. These moments are no accident. They are divine appointments.

Walking in the Light of God’s Blessings

Be Thankful for God’s Blessings

God has given us many blessings, both seen and unseen. We are called to give thanks at all times. He has provided for our needs in the past and will continue to do so. When we thank God, we open our hearts to His peace and remember His goodness.

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

God is Patient with Our Weaknesses

Even when we fall short, God does not give up on us. He sees our struggles and still chooses to love and guide us. He speaks to us with kindness and lifts us up with strength. His mercy is greater than our failures.

God Justifies, Wisdom Guides, Fathers Lead

Opening Verse

“Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed.”

Introduction

We are living in a time where people misunderstand God’s grace, ignore His wisdom, and question the importance of fathers. But the Bible speaks clearly. God justifies those who come to Him by faith. He gives wisdom to those who ask. And He calls fathers to lead their homes in truth and love.

Devotional Insight

In Romans 4, we are reminded that Abraham was not justified by his works, but by faith. God made him righteous because he believed. In Zechariah 3, Joshua the high priest stood before God in filthy clothes while Satan accused him. But God did not agree with Satan. Instead, He gave Joshua clean garments, showing that He alone makes us clean.

Proverbs 4 teaches us how to live with wisdom. It tells us to guard our hearts, watch our steps, and avoid the path of the wicked. Wisdom does not come automatically. We must seek it and stay focused on God.

We also talked about the role of fathers. Today’s culture often mocks or ignores fatherhood, but the Bible lifts it up. Fathers are meant to lead their families in God’s ways. This is not easy, but it is necessary.

Trusting in God vs. Trusting in Man

The Danger of Trusting in Man

Trusting in people or in our own abilities can lead to disappointment, failure, and even spiritual ruin. The Bible warns that when we rely on human strength alone, we place ourselves in a cursed position. People are flawed, limited, and prone to making mistakes. Even our own wisdom and confidence can mislead us if they are not rooted in God’s truth.

The Blessing of Trusting in God

On the other hand, those who trust in the Lord are blessed. God is unchanging, all-powerful, and always faithful. He sees the full picture of our lives and guides us according to His perfect plan. When we depend on Him, we receive security, peace, and strength that no human effort can provide.

Jesus’ life provides the perfect blueprint for growing in wisdom and favor. He dedicated Himself to serving others, teaching humility, and showing us the importance of prayer. Walking with Wisdom

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” – John 10:11 (NKJV)

Have you ever thought about how Jesus looks after us? In John 10, Jesus compares Himself to a shepherd, someone who takes care of sheep. He calls Himself the “good shepherd.” Why? Because He cares for us deeply, just like a shepherd cares for his sheep. He knows each of us by name and watches over us. And He did the most incredible thing – He gave His life for us, to save us. Just like a shepherd would do anything to protect his sheep, Jesus did everything to protect us.

Solomon’s Wisdom – 1 Kings 3:5-6 & 9-10

“At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, ‘Ask! What shall I give you?'” – 1 Kings 3:5 (NKJV)

Imagine if God appeared to you in a dream and said, “Ask for anything you want.” What would you ask for? This happened to Solomon, David’s son. He could have asked for anything – money, power, or long life. But he didn’t. Instead, he asked for wisdom to lead God’s people well. God was so pleased with this request that He not only gave Solomon wisdom but also riches and honor. When we prioritize what God values, like wisdom and understanding, He blesses us in more ways than we can imagine.

“Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” – 1 Kings 3:9 (NKJV)

Jesus Heals – Matthew 9:28-34

“Then He touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith let it be to you.'” – Matthew 9:29 (NKJV)

Faith can do wonders. In Matthew 9, we see Jesus healing a blind man and a man who was demon-possessed and couldn’t speak. What did they have in common? They believed that Jesus could heal them. And He did! Their faith in Jesus made them whole. When we believe in Jesus and His power, we open the door for Him to work in our lives.

Compassion for the Lost – Mark 6:34

“And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.” – Mark 6:34 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt lost or confused? You’re not alone. In Mark 6, we see Jesus looking at a crowd of people who were lost and confused. His heart was filled with compassion for them. He didn’t ignore them or walk away. Instead, He stayed and taught them many things. Jesus cares for us in our confusion and when we’re lost, guiding us with His teachings.

In these stories, we see the heart of Jesus and His desire to guide, protect, and heal us. He is our good Shepherd, and His wisdom and compassion are available to us always. Let’s trust in Him and follow His lead.

These stories and teachings call us to reflect on our own spiritual journey. Are we listening to the Good Shepherd’s voice? Are we choosing wisdom and humility in our decisions? How can we show our complete dedication to God in our daily lives?
