Listening to God with Grace and Wisdom

Life is full of decisions, challenges, and unexpected turns. Too often, we react based on what we think is right instead of seeking God’s direction. But true wisdom comes from listening to Him, rather than leaning on our own understanding.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Approaching situations with grace and patience allows us to reflect Christ’s love. Instead of responding in frustration or fear, we should pause, pray, and follow His leading.

Spiritual Growth and the Power of Fellowship

Faith is a journey, not a destination. As we grow in Christ, we become more aware of our weaknesses and more dependent on His strength. This journey is not meant to be walked alone—God calls us into community to build each other up.

Sharing personal testimonies glorifies God and strengthens others. Every time we testify, we remind ourselves and others of His faithfulness. Vulnerability in sharing our struggles also allows His grace to work in our lives.

A father’s love is sacrificial, protective, and deeply invested in the well-being of his children. This is a reflection of our Heavenly Father’s heart toward us.

“As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.”

God is always watching over us, ready to guide and protect. Through prayer, we not only experience His love but also invite His presence into our daily lives. No matter what challenges we face, His love never fails.

Overcoming Through Testimonies and Gratitude

There is power in sharing what God has done in our lives. When we testify, we overcome doubt, strengthen our faith, and encourage those who are struggling.

Alongside testimonies, gratitude is a key to victory. When we focus on what God has done rather than what we lack, our faith grows. Gratitude shifts our perspective and reminds us that God is still working.

One practical way to strengthen our faith is by writing down and meditating on God’s promises. His Word is our weapon against fear, doubt, and the enemy’s lies.

By keeping His Word in front of us daily, we renew our minds and align our thoughts with His truth.

Sometimes, we go through seasons of testing. These moments are not meant to break us but to prepare us for greater blessings. God uses trials to refine us, teach us, and position us for His purpose.

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

Instead of resisting the process, we should trust that God is using it to make us stronger.

Showing Grace and Prioritizing Family

In our daily lives, we will face situations that test our patience. Whether at work, at home, or in relationships, we have opportunities to extend grace and mercy.

Jesus teaches us to serve others, even when it’s inconvenient. When we reflect His love in how we treat people, we become true witnesses of His character.

Likewise, prioritizing our families is crucial. No amount of success or busyness should take precedence over the relationships God has given us. Time spent with loved ones is never wasted—it is an investment in what truly matters.

The Role of Community and Unity in Christian Life

God designed us for relationship. The Christian walk is not meant to be done alone. We need each other for encouragement, accountability, and growth.

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Community is where blessings and breakthroughs happen. When we unite in faith, pray for each other, and support one another, we create an atmosphere where God’s power moves.

Live a Life Pleasing to God

Opening Scripture:

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” – Revelation 1:3

Be Transformed by Renewing Your Mind

Paul starts by urging us to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is true worship. We should not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. By doing this, we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Humble Service in the Body of Christ

Paul tells us not to think of ourselves more highly than we should but to think of ourselves with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of us. We are all part of one body in Christ, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us.

“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”
— Romans 12:6-8 (NKJV)

Serving God with Our Gifts

Paul lists several gifts and encourages us to use them to serve God and others:

  • Prophesying: If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.
  • Serving: If it is serving, then serve.
  • Teaching: If it is teaching, then teach.
  • Encouraging: If it is to encourage, then give encouragement.
  • Giving: If it is giving, then give generously.
  • Leading: If it is to lead, do it diligently.
  • Showing Mercy: If it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Each of us has been given unique gifts by God. Using these gifts is not only a way to serve others but also a way to honor God. By utilizing our talents and abilities, we contribute to the growth and health of the body of Christ.

Love in Action

Paul gives us practical advice on how to live out our faith:

  • Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
  • Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
  • Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
  • Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
  • Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Blessing and Living in Harmony

Paul instructs us to bless those who persecute us and not to curse them. We should rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn. We should live in harmony with one another and not be proud but willing to associate with people of low position. We should not be conceited.

Overcoming Evil with Good

We are to repay no one evil for evil. Instead, we should be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If possible, as far as it depends on us, we should live at peace with everyone. We should not take revenge but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. Instead, if our enemy is hungry, we should feed him; if he is thirsty, we should give him something to drink. By doing this, we will heap burning coals on his head. We should not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Walking in Newness

Opening Scripture:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

In the journey of faith, understanding our salvation and identity in Christ is crucial. It’s not just about knowing we are saved but grasping the depth of what it means to be a new creation in Him. This understanding is foundational for walking in spiritual authority and freedom.

Tonight’s Message:

Salvation isn’t just a ticket to heaven; it’s the beginning of a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are not just forgiven of our sins; we are born into a new life. This new life is about recognizing our identity as children of God and heirs with Christ.

Understanding our identity in Christ enables us to walk in the authority He has given us. This authority is not for dominating others but for overcoming the enemy and the struggles we face, including generational sins and bondages. It’s about living in the victory Jesus secured for us on the cross.

Compassion in Action

Jesus exemplified compassion for all, regardless of their past or present struggles. He reached out to those society had cast aside, showing that God’s redemptive plan includes everyone. Our ministry should mirror this compassion, helping others understand God’s love and plan for their lives.

Ministering Beyond Appearances

Our ministry should not be for show but should stem from a genuine desire to see people come to know God. This means being willing to go where people are hurting, as Jesus did. Whether it’s ministering outside a homeless center or reaching out to someone struggling with sin, it’s about showing God’s love in action.

Growing Through Compassion

Understanding and showing compassion helps us grow in our spiritual journey. Jesus’ example teaches us to look beyond people’s actions and see their hearts, understanding the struggles they face. This perspective helps us minister more effectively and grow in our own relationship with God.

Relying on God’s Grace

We all fall short, but God’s grace is sufficient for us. Instead of leaning on self-righteousness, we should confess our sins and rely on God’s mercy and forgiveness. His faithfulness strengthens us during waiting periods, reminding us that He is working in and through us.

Fellowship with God and Each Other

Dedicated time with God through prayer and His word is essential. It’s in these moments of fellowship that we are reminded of our identity and purpose in Him. As we walk in the light of truth, we not only grow individually but also strengthen our relationships with others, shining as beacons of hope and truth in a world in need.

In summary, understanding our salvation and identity in Christ is the foundation for walking in spiritual authority, showing compassion, ministering effectively, relying on God’s grace, and growing in fellowship with Him and others. Let us embrace this newness of life, walking confidently in the truth of who we are in Christ.
